Garth Knox is an internationally renowned virtuoso who is frequently invited to perform on European stages. His mastery of the viola extends to a wide array of styles ranging from baroque to a more contemporary repertoire. An explorer and a pioneer, he also enjoys delving into other art forms such as theatre and dance in order to broaden his horizons. Another way he expands said horizons is by playing a contemporary version of the viola d’amore, an instrument akin to the viola. And if that’s not enough, Garth Knox also authored a collection of studies for the viola that are taught in various conservatories all over the world.
