Juan Ignacio Tula is a Cyr wheel virtuoso who takes us on a hypnotizing ride that shifts our relationship with time. Through an interplay of forces and counterweights using metal and flesh, the artist brings the body beyond its limits in a physical performance that reaches exhaustion. A survival instinct erupts as he spirals until sightlessness and his body is brought to the edge. In this journey to transcendence, we question ourselves, we unravel. Given a choice, would we choose heaviness or lightness?
