In his latest album Time Flies, Pierre Omer orchestrated a return to his folk roots. After a skirmish with a grungy and solitary blues, he surrounded himself with a dozen musicians, and not just anybody! They were exactly what he needed to play new compositions, which were first written in the guitar-voice format before being arranged by violinist Philippe Koller. The resulting Time Flies is an orchestra piece performed by prominent artists who are either long-time friends or new ones. On stage, the alchemy between the musicians is perfect, in the way old companions swap stories inspired by the likes of Lee Hazlewood or Scott Walker of the good old days.
