A L G E C O W plays with preconceived notions and sends you on a wild goose chase with their peculiar burlesque style and an exquisite offbeat genre. Their music can’t be categorized, since it’s a mosaic of fragments: new wave post punk, pseudo pop, hints of ethnic music and outdated circus music all thrown on a track. The result juggles derision and playfulness, all while basking in tomfoolery and the celebration of the present moment.
