Beings dressed in futuristic-trashy costumes arrive, and they come with a message: dance, and think hard about your relationship with the Earth. The multidisciplinary collective from Kinshasa are incorrigible hunters of abandoned objects of all kinds. In their 15 years of existence, their configuration has slowly morphed into PVC pipe percussion instruments, guitars made out of cans, scrap metal marimbas and eco-traditional masks. Festival de la Cité has the privilege to be the first host of the group’s 2021 European Tour. It is a golden opportunity to bask in their raw, emphatic, unbridled rhythm.
