Carte blanche - Ensemble Rue du Nord

Using a repertoire of Occitan secular and devotional music, Jericho establishes a kind of sound that is similar to a popular oratorio in which the body and the voice move together. The raw sound is perceived as a necessary condition from which we can imagine paths that lead to the rhythmic, melodic figures of (unmeasured) chants. The effect creates a space presented to whomever is listening.
