Jezebel is inspired by Video Vixens, the seductresses featured in hip-hop music videos at the end of the 90’s. These barely-dressed Vixens are dancers in a musical genre dominated by men. Their influence was significant: they determined the video’s aesthetics and played an important role in the artist’s popularity. But today’s Jezebel refuses to be defined by others. Can she deconstruct the controversial stereotype associated with the black hip-hop honey?
